NASA Lunabotics

Leading a team of 24 competing to design, build, and test a lunar construction robot using NASA systems engineering processes.

Solar Sail

Managing a team of 18 researching feasible solar sail technology demonstrations with SEDS.

Current Projects

LASR

Research project prototyping a deployable, 5DOF robotic arm for an on-orbit satellite servicing module. Worked on electronics hardware selection, mechanical design, and robotic motion planning.

FOODS

My first research project - optimizing the geometry of a plastic fork for biodegradability. Worked on finite element analysis (FEA), running optimization algorithms, 3D printing, and testing (breaking forks for science).

Aqua Viva

Spearheading an international team developing a proof-of-concept tool to estimate groundwater level using machine learning and satellite data. Best Overall in the NASA Pale Blue Dot Challenge.

SEDS

Current VP / Former Outreach Director leading a burgeoning organization for all who love space. Planning & marketing events, building & running design teams, and dropping a lot of Star Wars references.

Vestigo

Designed a wearable UWB/IMU device to track real-time location & orientation of analog astronauts at NASA JSC. TSGC Design Challenge Winners.

NASA Internship

My first internship. Collaborated with an MBSE (model-based systems engineering) expert to produce video tutorials for NASA engineers. Yes, I used WALL-E as my tutorial example.

Project Icarus

Developed a website on the Parker Solar Probe, with visualizations of its instrument data. A lot of Python, JavaScript, HTML, & CSS.

Sick

My first engineering project. Created a prototype forklift safety system using LiDAR/IMU data to prevent tip-overs and collisions. Even filmed a nice little product video for it.
